Sorry, I’ve been really busy.

There are so many things in my personal life that are changing for the past couple of months, and I’m struggling just to keep up. I’m not planning on abandoning my online life, it’s just that I need some time off from blogs, mailing lists, etc. Once everything is settled I should be back online. Hopefully soon.

For everyone that has sent in their requests to be included in Planet Terasi, please bear with me, I will review them as soon as I’m able to do so.

I still read my emails, it’s just that I might not be able to reply to all of them. I’m sorry.

I’m signing off for now. Don’t go too far. I’ll see you soon!

Cuplikan:

Bagaimana masa depan agregat blog?

Planet Terasi Update

I finally fixed that annoying OPML and RSS bug for Planet Terasi. So both of them should be working fine now. I also updated the theme a little bit to better please my eyes. I’m getting older, so no more reading a lot of small texts for me. The font is up to you now, it will use the default fonts (serif, sans-serif, monospace) you set it in your browser.

New features:

  • Below every post title there are links to del.icio.us so that you can bookmark the post, digg to add a digg entry based on that post, and a Technorati search for other blog posts that link to that particular post.
  • Date headers are clickable to hide/show posts for that date.

Let me know if something doesn’t work1. Suggestions and constructive criticism are welcome. I have some more features planned for long term. If you like to see the development progress, check out http://beta.planet.terasi.net.

Have a good weekend, everyone!

  1. Don’t bother reporting that Planet Terasi looks awful in Internet Explorer 6 and below. We don’t support obsolete browsers that ignore standards. Sorry.

Fresh Look for Planet Terasi

Since I need to put a new logo for Planet Terasi, I also need to make some adjustments to the look of the website. Hopefully you like the new look. You’re welcome to give feedback by posting your comments to this post.

The logo was created and submitted by Kéré Kêmplu even though the contest had officially ended without any winner. Thanks! He made some remarks in his email (quoted below) regarding the design choices which I think are quite reasonable.

why brown? i think it’s an indonesian color. :) lagian kan miip warna terasi. :D

warna kuning? yeah, pura-puranya matahari tropis gitulah. kalo dikasih biru cyan gak cocok sih.

I hope you enjoy the new look.

A Bit of Update

  • My project is about “context-aware smart homes to support independent living”.
  • I’m very busy with my project, probably until January or February, so I’m not sure if I will have the time and energy to write in this blog during that time, I apologise in advance for lack of updates.
  • Just a clarification if you happen to pick up the October 2005 issue of InfoLINUX, I’m not the founder of linux.or.id, I was just one of the first volunteers who eventually maintain the mailing lists, website, emails, DNS and almost everything else until today. I’m not sure how linux.or.id started, actually, I think it was MDAMT who started it and announced it to the (now defunct) pau-mikro list.
  • Kéré Kêmplu sent me his creation of a logo for Planet Terasi, I’ll put it in Planet Terasi as soon as possible™.
  • Summer is coming soon to Sydney. Barbecues and beaches… and.. what? What project? Oh, right. Never mind.
